STRING CHEESE INCIDENT DELIGHTS FANS WITH THE FIRST VIRTUAL CONCERT CLUB TOUR

July 15, 2008, Virtual Venues Network (VVN) introduces the Virtual Concert experience with a big-screen tour that is traveling to nightclubs and colleges this year featuring, “Hi-Def From Red Rocks featuring The String Cheese Incident.” Virtual Venues Network is presenting life-size premiere screenings from the band’s final two performances last August, captured in stunning high-definition. While the band is no longer touring live, the three hour, twenty minute Virtual Concert is reuniting fans in hometown venues across the country to celebrate one more time, the magic and energy of the String Cheese Incident.

Virtual Venues Network’s Virtual Concert concept is the latest entry into the “360″ deal landscape that allows artists to extend live touring into secondary markets. Not available on-line or on DVD, fans can participate only in these Virtual Concerts by purchasing tickets at the club when the show comes to town and experiencing it en masse with fellow fans. VVN partner venues place life-size screens on stage and patch digital audio directly into the house sound system. VVN’s rack-mounted ClubLyncTM delivers premium content over the internet to each subscriber venue, bringing national touring acts into rooms that the band would typically not reach in person.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the initial response,” says VVN’s CEO, Michael Horne. “With the recent overhaul of the recorded music industry and an increased emphasis on touring, artists are looking for new ways to reach their fans. Virtual Venues Network provides a controlled environment where the artist can deliver a quality performance directly to midsize clubs and college venues and get paid for every show. It’s the next best thing to live; it’s life size, on stage with great sound, cold beer and a dance floor.”

“High Def from Red Rocks featuring The String Cheese Incident” is currently on a virtual tour to 60 cities across America. To view upcoming dates, view a preview or for more information, visit http://www.virtualvenuesnetwork.com.
