Chris Clayton is a worship leader that has a message to tell that he gets out with the help of the music found on this release. That message is that we often get complacent in our faith and want to give God only parts of our lives when it’s convenient for us. In these songs Chris shows us through music the true Glory of God and the need for us to give Him our time 24/7.

The songs found on All These Things and More are a mixture of both original and well-known worship songs. Two of the covers are, “You Never Let Go”(Matt Redman), and “Song of Hope” (Robbie Seay). Both are well done staying true to the original versions while still adding in Chris’ own little tweaks. The piano, cello, and violin parts found on, “You Never Let Go” add a real nice richness to the song.

My favorites from the originals were, “King Forever” a guitar filled bravado up-tempo song that gets thing off to a really nice start. “Breathing Again” was another song that worked well with its guitar and drum filled up-tempo beats, that talks about the freeing power of God’s mercy and grace.

The last track, “Stand Amazed” also hit the mark for me. The song is a simple acoustic guitar ballad, with simple, yet oh so powerful lyrics that talk about standing in awe of all that God is and does for us.

After listening to All These Things and More I get the strong feeling that Chris Clayton is both a very humble and insightful man. Thankfully for us he has put some of that insightfulness to music.

I think that these two quotes taken from his bio say it best, “My prayer is that people will be reminded that we serve and worship a holy God who is more than we can ever fathom. Sometimes I feel that we often ‘tip our hat’ to God and go about our week without ever encountering Him and recognizing Him for the Holy One that He is.” and “For me, it isn’t about going out and pounding a Bible over a person’s head, but instead striving to reflect God in everything I do. Worship is more about a lifestyle than any song written or any service on a Sunday morning.”

Do yourself a favor and tap into the musical wisdom that Chris offers up on All These Things and More.
