Musician Chris Naish’s new project the Never Stop EP is a collection of lo-fi blues-rock. The 5-songs found on this EP are filled with a collection of both clean and fuzzy guitar sounds with the occasional harmonica note added in to the mix.

Track-1, “Sleep When You’re Dead (Featuring Blair Stretch on Lead Guitar),” is a blues-folk rock song that includes the aforementioned guitar and harmonica parts that have a Bob Dylan feel found on it.

Track-2, “I Don’t Need a Woman,” is another blues-rock track filled with slightly distorted guitar parts.

Track-3, “This Morning (Featuring Blair Stretch on Lead Guitar),” is a lo-fi lollapalooza with old-time record like hisses and fuzzy guitar parts all set against very sparse vocals.

Track-4, “Gone, Gone, Gone,” is a change of style with very clean and crisp guitar work set against a nice melodic beat that drives the song.

Last up is track-5, “What You’ve Given Me (Featuring Jen Naish on Backing Vocals),” this is a rap meets rock number that works well with it’s mixture of rock guitar set against rapping vocals.

This EP has a very Jack White-White Stripes feel with its sparse guitar driven songs spiced up with Naish’s raw lyrics.

I liked what Chris Naish’s Never Stop EP delivered up on my musical plate.
