Engloria – ‘Drive’ EP Review
By C.W. Ross
This band hailing from Albany, NY is comprised of brothers James (lead vocals, guitar, piano) and Brandon Stewart (drums) along with longtime friends Michael Gleason (bass) and Devon Scott (guitar, vocals).
The band released their debut EP, ‘Sundown,’ in 2010 and are now back with a new 3-song EP entitled, ‘Drive.’ Stylisticaly the bands alt. rock sound has been compared to fellow NY band Goo Goo Dolls.
The EP starts off with the title track, “Drive,” an up-tempo rocker about relationships that offers up a really catchy sound that I could easily see becoming a hit radio single.
Track-2, “Out of Love,” is a mid-tempo track dealing with wanting to change while at the same time not wanting to leave the comfort zone that you’ve settled into in your life.
The guitar driven melodic love ballad, “Made for You,” wraps things up.

Review Takeaway- I liked what little music I heard on Engloria’s ‘Drive’ EP. I just wish that there was more of it. With a running time of of under 11 minutes it felt more like a demo used to shop the band around then an actual release for fans to enjoy.
i love this band! i work with one of the members actually, and he handed me a demo cd. i was skeptical at first cause i dont usually enjoy a demo somebody hands me hoping i’ll listen and tell people about. but i love this one. and listen to it, on repeat.
