Tour Dates Announced in Run Up to Release of Highly-Anticipated Debut Album
After relentless appearances throughout 2011’s festival season and a lot of hard work, The Paris Riots are heading into the studio to record their highly anticipated debut album. In the mean time they are set to add a bonus track, the fan favorite ‘White Wine’ to their self titled EP on October 10th and embark on an exciting autumn tour, dates of which have just been announced.
The Paris Riots were formed in the small, underground clubs of Manchester by brothers Toby and Guy Connor and Scottish rhythm section Kevin Martin and Scott McKnight. The Paris Riots Fast established a loyal and passionate following and a deserved place in their adopted home city’s rich and eclectic musical heritage.
An early demo and a string of much talked about chaotic live performances lead to the recording of stand-out-track ‘The Indian’ and a subsequent slot at 2009’s FIB Benicassim in Spain playing to an audience of 5000 alongside Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. The band went on to perform at Benicassim again in 2011, this time in-front of a 10,000 strong crowd alongside the likes of Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes.
An invitation by Live Nation to travel to Los Angeles to appear in “Early Warning” – a TV show featuring the most exciting new talent in music resulted in a short film documenting a band clearly destined for much bigger things.
The Paris Riots are reaching the end of another grueling but most successful summer of festival dates promoting their self-titled EP and have seen their fan-base increase dramatically.
Confident that the time has come to record their debut album they enter the studio this September safe in the knowledge that their self belief and relentless hard work means they have an audience waiting to hear it.
On October 10th, the band will release live favorite ‘White Wine’ as an addition to the digital EP. Throughout the autumn, The Paris Riot’s will be on the road touring of the UK and Spain.
