Indie Folk Artist Dare Dukes Signs to Mazarine Records, New Album Slated for January 17th Release Date

Dare Dukes forthcoming Thugs and China Dolls full-length has just been picked up by Athens-based Mazarine Records, which is super exciting news! The album is still slated for a January 17th release date, and promises to be one of the first great jams of 2012.

Thugs and China Dolls almost entirely crowd-funded, prominently features Marla Hansen of Sufjan Stevens, as well as members of Of Montreal, The Modern Skirts, and TV on the Radio to help expand and build-out the sound of his rustic style of upbeat life meditations. The result is something that’s bound to appeal to fans of all the aforementioned…or anyone interested in a quirky, eclectic blend of indie-leaning folk.

Dare Dukes has expanded his winter tour, going further up and down the eastern seaboard, traveling a hard road during some very cold months. Brave soul.
