Brandon McHose- ‘Late Night’ Review
By C.W. Ross
After releasing several acoustic albums including his solo debut, ‘Life Eclipse’ (2007) and ‘Token’ (2008), McHose decided to punch up his sound via his electric guitar work that’s found on his new 4-song EP, ‘Late Night.’
The EP’s title track, “Late Night,” gets things off to a good start with its sound that offers up a pop/rock mix along with a blues undertone.
Track-2, “Next 3″, rocks it out with lyrics that deals with the road of life that lies ahead for him.
Next up is the mid-tempo track, “Leave it All Behind”, that deals with putting a relationship behind and moving ahead in your life.
For the last track, “Just Say When”, McHose goes back to his musical roots with a more melodic acoustic style that’s found on it.
Review Takeaway: Brandon McHose’s musical journey has taken him from Des Moines, Iowa to Austin, Texas finally ending up at his current home base of Chicago. All along that journey McHose has worked hard to hone his skills and the results show with the very well done collection of 4-songs that make up his new ‘Late Night’ EP.
