Italian Band Farmer Sea Releases Second Album- ‘A Safe Place’

The band Farmer Sea got their start in Turin, Italy in 2004. Since then they have released several albums, with their latest being entirely produced and recorded by the band on their own label, Dead End Street. So far the new album has been well received by both Italian critics and fans.

The press release for the album says that unlike previous band releases that were more light-hearted in atmosphere the new album is said to, “assume darker shades with a more classic rock feel closer to bands like REM, Wilco, and Arcade Fire. The use of piano and acoustic guitar gives more depth to usual Farmer’s style, often destabilized by noisier sounds. The main theme here is “Fear”, as a dark place from which we have to escape and as a metaphor of these difficult years for the band… as well as in the broadest general sense of the word.”
