Sara Jackson-Holman Returns with Her Sophomore Release ‘Cardiology’

Artist: Sara Jackson-Holman
Title: ‘Cardiology’

Overall Album Vibe: Sara Jackson-Holman supplies soulful, husky, popish, vocals for songs of the familiar themes of love lost and found. Her vocals have been compared to Adele and Amy Winehouse and others. I can hear how those comparisons can be made of in songs like “Can’t Take My Love” and “Oh My Honey” which are my favorite on the album. While her vocals get compared to others they are still distinctly her own. Sara is a wizard on the piano displaying her expert skills throughout the collection. Her playing is playful on “For Albert” which borrows from “Fur Elise.” The other musicians complement her skills and never over shadow Sara. Her sophomore effort does not disappoint and shows her debut was not a fluke. If “Cardiology” is any indication Sara Jackson-Holman has bright future ahead.
