Artist: Karyn Williams
Title: ‘Only You’

Overall Album Vibe: ‘Only You,’ is Karyn Williams’ 11-tracks Inpop Records debut. She was featured as one of Billboard magazines, “Best Bets of 2012.” The songs that make up, ‘Only You,’ offer up a nice mixture of melodic piano lead tracks along with more up tempo guitar lead ones. The main theme that’s the common thread on the songs deals with the peace and joy that is found in being a child of God. Highlight tracks from the album include, “Every Good Thing,” a song that celebrates God’s faithfulness. The lead single from the album, “Rest in the Hope,” was inspired by Williams’ father’s battle with cancer. The song though is for anyone dealing with struggles in their life and the rest that comes from knowing that God is there with us. “This is Freedom” is a piano ballad dealing with the freeing power that comes from accepting God into your life.

Review Tagline: Karyn Williams is blessed with a silky smooth vocal style that draws you in as she sings about the joy of knowing God on her release, ‘Only You.’
Standout Tracks: “Every Good Thing”, “Rest in the Hope”, “Banner”, “This is Freedom”
