Review for Jiggley Jones’ ‘No Spring Chicken’ EP

Artist: Jiggley Jones
Title: ‘No Spring Chicken’

Overall Album Vibe: While ‘No Spring Chicken,’ is singer songwriter Jiggley Jones, “debut EP” he has a lot of musical wisdom under his belt having both performed solo and as part of a band. He’s also written or co-written well over 100 songs.

Jones says that, “Let’s face it, I’m not 18 anymore and thank God for that”, continuing on saying, “I’m no longer coming from a place that I have to in order to fit in, I’m coming from a place that is different because that is what I’ve become. No tattoos, no piercings, just music, strong and true, music that paints a picture.”

Jones’ music has been called everything from Americana, Alt.Country, and Acoustic to Singer Songwriter. The 4-track EP is filled with songs of love, hope and the security of always having a home to go back to no matter how far you may roam all that come from the perspective of a man with a strong faith.

Opening track, “Baby Blue,” offers up celebration of new life while the strings infused up tempo folk rock track-2, “Welcome Home,” deals with even though it’s nice to spread your wings and journey to different places it’s always nice to get back to the comfort of home. Track-3, “Ain’t That Alright,” is a guitar and banjo lead Americana /country track. “Christmas 365,” wraps things up with its message of how special Christmas time is when family’s are willing to put away all of the little fights and grievances and come together in a time of joy and peace and how nice it would be if we could spread that same forgiveness and harmony throughout the entire year.

With his, ‘No Spring Chicken’ EP Jiggley Jones offers up just enough music to wet your appetite and leave you wanting more of its musical morsels of goodness.
