Band’s new ep released Feb. 24th along with a tour includes gigs at SXSW
BALTIMORE – A firm favorite with fans and reviewers who like their punk hard and showing its dark rock ‘n’ roll roots, New Jersey’s Doghouse Swine is roaring into 2015 like a house on fire. “Fearless,” the band’s new EP on Baltimore’s Manta Ray Records, was produced by the legendary J. Robbins (Clutch, Against Me!, Foo Fighters) dropped on Feb. 24th. In March, Doghouse Swine will travel to Austin to appear at the SXSW/Red Gorilla Music Fest as part of their U.S. tour.
Formed in 2009 the band consists of Ian, guitarist and vocalist, Chris DeBellis on drums, and Iron Rich on bass. The hard-driving punk n roll band combines all the manic energy from protopunks like The Stooges, the aggression of Black Flag and even a hollaback to Jerry Lee Lewis’ raw passion to create a sound that stays true to every garage band that ever made the neighbors call the cops.
“Dangerous,” the first single from Doghouse Swine’s new EP became available on Feb. 10th. The single’s accompanying video was directed by Josh Emmit. Both the single and EP are available everywhere.
Doghouse Swine is taking their punk n roll show on the road and currently has 12 dates scheduled with more on the way for their springtime U.S. tour which starts March 12 in Canton, Ohio, and includes two gigs at the SXSW/Red Gorilla Music Fest.
