Rachel Platten Gets Signed to Columbia Records

rachelfightingselfdoubt
Rachel recently announced in a message to her fans that, “after 12 years of highs & lows, thousands of miles, even more shows, and incredibly hard work, I am so very proud to announce that I signed with Columbia Records.”

She continued on saying, “None of this would have been possible if it weren’t for you guys. You, who came out to my concerts in snowstorms, who poured your hearts into letters and messages, who lent me vans, recording studios, spread the word to friends, made lyrics videos of my songs, found strength to fight illnesses, made up dances in cars, used my music as your gym soundtrack, or just sang privately into bathroom mirrors….”

“All of it mattered and all of it counted. And all of it: you, me and our determination to get this message of empowerment, acceptance and massive love out to the world is why I am here right now.”

“And oh, man am I grateful.”

“I’m also proud to announce that my first official single with Columbia will be Fight Song and we are doing a campaign for it that I’m so excited to share. After reading your letters, emails, and direct messages about Fight Song, I was touched and I believe there is power in sharing the personal battles that we are fighting to overcome. If you feel moved to, please post a video or picture on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook sharing what you have overcome or are working on overcoming and how Fight Song has inspired you. Be sure to include #MyFightSong and hashtag the show you would be able to attend on my tour. I will pick winners at each tour stop to hang out backstage and be inspired by in return :)”
