Yonder’s debut self titled EP was recorded at Holy Fool in Seattle, WA by Jared Feichtner. The EP’s three songs play upon themes of isolation, open water imagery, ocean landscapes, and destructive weather.
The debut EP enjoyed rotation airplay on Seattle’s KEXP and the single “Bellwether” was picked as one of KEXP’s Song of the Day selections.
In early 2015, Yonder went back to Feichtner at Holy Fool to record the upcoming Harborview 7-inch EP. A continuation of the bands’ love of howling distortion and driving rhythms; Harborview is a twin burst of spiraling dreams, welcome endings, and turbulent futures. The lush production and tense songwriting hint at what’s to come on Yonder’s upcoming debut full length LP.
Once described by Seattle’s Stranger as “making punchy, quick-paced, careful pop that’s catchy without bragging about it,” Yonder is loud, immediate, and dedicated to their craft. Yonder represents the culmination of years of other projects and a lifelong friendship between the three members, Nick Cappelletti, Chris Reisinger, and Jeff Taylor. With a clear vision for the music they create, the Harborview EP cracks an inviting window into Yonder’s seething, oversaturated world.
