Las Vegas, NV, June 2015 – SquidHat Records is proud to announce the new album “Coming Home” from legendary Vegas punk band Guilty By Association. The album, released on CD and limited pressing orange vinyl, is available nationally via NAIL Distribution and internationally through PlanetWorks Enterprises.
“We’ve been Guilty By Association fans for a long time and actually met when our band played with them in Portland, Oregon, years ago before we started the label.” said SquidHat Records President and founder, Allan Carter. “Their energy, relentless work ethic and in-your-face sound are the exactly what punk should be and we are thrilled with the opportunity to bring their music to a larger audience. They’ve paid their dues. They deserve it.”
Guilty by Association was formed in February, 2001, by members of several underground punk/hardcore bands from Las Vegas and Lake Havasu City. Founding members Tom Jones, Mike Janoff, Bobby Bloss and Craig Swanson got their start playing weekend shows in Las Vegas at places like the Cooler Lounge, the Double Down Saloon and the historical Huntridge Theater. In May 2001, working in the living room of a friend’s house, they produced their very first demo. Drummer Dave Bartlett joined the band in early 2014, rounding out their already powerful sound.
The band has previously released two full length albums and toured extensively throughout California, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona playing shows with Exploited, Circle Jerks, Sham 69, Dead Kennedys, DI, Total Chaos, FEAR, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Guttermouth, Dwarves, The Adolescents, Youth Brigade, the Adicts, Death by Stereo, the Vandals and many other big names.
On June 5, 2015, SquidHat Records will release their new album, Coming Home, with a release party at Backstage Bar & Billiards in Las Vegas. An extensive tour will follow.
