The New EP from UK Grunge Rockers Rusty G’s’, ‘Taking Over’

The new EP ‘Taking Over’ comprises of three monstrous tracks of straight to the point scuzzy grunge rock, littered with huge choruses and riffs that blend every aspect of each genre into the perfect package. Uplifting and refreshing, Grunge rock never died, it just evolved.

Alternative Grunge rockers Rusty G’s – first hit the Milton Keynes music scene in late 2007 with a yearning to create rock music that sounded fresh and unique with a wide array of influences. Since forming, the band have played hundreds of shows nationwide, increasing their fan base.

Self-assured Buckinghamshire Born and bred Guitarist / Vocalist James Finch and power force Drummer Dan Lopez have racked up an impressive CV of gigs such as performing with the likes of ; Australian rockers ‘Electric mary’, grunge-indie band ‘Nine Black alps’, Johnny Foreigner, Dead Sons and The weeks (Kings of Leon label-mates), not to mention performing their biggest show to date in front of an audience of 5,000 people at The Sheffield Motorpoint Arena!

The boys are also no strangers to the media, shown by their impressive features in Kerrang! Magazine and US magazine ‘Stitched Sound’ along-side ‘The All American Rejects’ among others. On top of this, the band have received some great airplay on BBC Introducing (Three counties) and BBC Northampton.

Much of 2014 saw huge activity in the recording studio. The outcome is a much more accomplished and mature sound. Fans can expect to see lots of video releases and activity at various points throughout 2015, including tours far and wide.

Despite the bands creative energy in the studio, in August 2014 Dan and James unfortunately had to say farewell to long serving bassist and founding member (Tom) after many years of loyal, solid and brilliant service. Dan and James however were left undeterred and were determined to continue on. So the search commenced for a new Bass player. After many months of searching for the right person and the right sound, things proved more difficult than first hoped. Eventually the boys took the very hard decision and HUGE step in to the UNKNOWN and decided not to recruit a new bassist choosing to go it alone which has since proved to be an excellent move. With the band now stronger, tighter, sounding more fresh and energetic than ever- Rusty G’s are ready to take on 2015 and destroy it!
