My Thoughts

SEC Conference Softball Play Gets Started This Weekend

After many tune up type tournaments it’s time for conference play to get started.

Over the last several years the SEC has become the premiere conference in NCAA woman’s college softball. This year continues that prowess with 5 of the top 10 ranked teams residing in the SEC conference.

Thankfully for us fans not located in the geographical South where most of the teams are located we have, The SEC Network and WatchESPN (ESPNgo online) where you’ll be able to catch a large number of the games either live or replays of them.

This year’s SEC Network 50+ games schedule gets started this weekend. The network will feature eight games from four different series. The best of those should be when the powerhouses #1 Florida has a three game series against #3 Auburn. The series will be played at Auburn’s Jane B. Moore Field.

Both teams feature outstanding pitching along with powerhouse hitting and are coached by two of the best coaches found in the college ranks, Clint Myers (Auburn) and Tim Walton (Florida).
