Halem Releases New Single, “Runaway”

halemcover
‘Runaway’ is the first official Single from Liverpool based electro-pop duo HALEM, produced in Liverpool’s Parr St Studios with engineer and producer Rich Turvey (Blossoms, The Coral, Clean Cut Kid, VITAMIN) and mixed by Tom Longworth (Xam Volo, Wiley, Rymes).

Forming in 2015, HALEM have propelled themselves into the North-West music scene. By teasing demo’s using only numbers as names, HALEM have created intrigue and mystique in the lead up to these eagerly awaited up coming official releases.

Drawing comparisons to Disclosure, Gorgon City and Major Lazer, the band’s nightclub-like live performances have created a buzz in and around Liverpool. Using bespoke neon lights gives HALEM a unique visual identity that can be seen on stage and in their visual design.

The band are well backed by BBC Introducing and have been awarded one of Liverpool’s “Top 20 Artists for 2016/17” by the Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF Academy), where they played in July 2016.

HALEM are songwriters Katy Bryson (vocals) and Reece Cairns (drums/keys). Liverpudlian Katy and Mancunian Reece met in their first year of study at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2013.
